Ninja Gaiden 4 is Almost Complete

Gaming Gacor — PlatinumGames has given gamers an exciting progress update regarding Ninja Gaiden 4. Xbox recently held its third annual Developer Direct showcase, featuring deep dives into some of its biggest 2025 games, such as South of Midnight, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The reveal of Ninja Gaiden 4 shocked fans, followed by a surprise remaster in Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, which was shadow dropped during the show.
Co-developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, Ninja Gaiden 4 takes fans of the franchise into the future. Set in a rain-drenched futuristic Tokyo, Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces a new protagonist named Yakumo who will do battle against franchise icon, Ryu Hayabusa. Judging by the deep-dive reveal trailer, the franchise’s iconic high-octane action combat seems to still be at the center of Ninja Gaiden 4, and fans were pleased with the game’s Fall 2025 release window.
Just a few days after Ninja Gaiden 4’s reveal, an Xbox wire post divulged some new info about how far along in development the game is. Near the end of the post, PlatinumGames director Yuji Nakao mentioned that Ninja Gaiden 4 is largely in the polishing phase of development, and is “currently about 70–80% complete.” Nakao’s estimate makes Ninja Gaiden 4 feel a bit closer to release than its Fall 2025 window originally made it seem.

This is great news for fans who are eager to get their hands on Ninja Gaiden 4, and it likely means that the game won’t see any sort of delay into 2026, as development seems to be going smoothly. Judging by Nakao’s progress update, Ninja Gaiden 4 may even drop earlier in the Fall, perhaps as a September release. Fans can almost certainly expect to learn even more about the game during Summer Game Fest in June, likely at Xbox’s yet-to-be-revealed games showcase, which would make the most sense considering Xbox is publishing Ninja Gaiden 4.
Ninja Gaiden fans have plenty to enjoy during the hopefully not-too-long wait for Ninja Gaiden 4 in the name of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, which many gamers have been enjoying since its surprise stealth release last week. Furthermore, The Game Kitchen’s Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, a 2D action platformer from the devs behind Blasphemous, is expected to be released at some point during the summer. During Ninja Gaiden 4’s reveal, Koei Tecmo named 2025 the “Year of the Ninja” and it certainly seems that way for the iconic action franchise with everything that’s set to release this year.
